The 11th Annual George McCellan Invitational will take place July 11-13th at Summer Creek High School, located on Houston's Northeast Beltway. Ironically, this event is the first weekend division one college coaches can attend these type of summer tournaments and evaluate prospects. Last year 92 college coaches were in the building and this year's event promises to provide a huge collection of talented teams and players from as far away as Seattle, Washington. The grassroots programs are divided into HOT, SPICY, or MILD Divisions. Pool play will begin on the afternoon of Friday, July 11th and bracket play starts on Saturday afternoon. The event concludes on Sunday 3pm at The GYM (2324 Atascocita Rd, Humble TX) where all 3 gold bracket champions will be crowned.
The GMI will feature four (semi-super) pools in each division. Meaning, 2 of the 3 teams will advance into the Gold Bracket while the 3rd seed from each of the Semi-Super Pools will go into the Silver Bracket. The remaining brackets will produce 1 team into the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Bracket. All bracket play games are single elimination.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
What is a SEMI-SUPER POOL?
- Good question. Instead of all 3 teams advancing to the Gold Bracket, each of the designated Semi Super Pools will produce 2 teams into the Gold Bracket while the 3rd seed will head into the Silver Bracket. The remaining pools will have the 1st seed go Gold, the 2nd seed = Silver, and 3rd will be the Bronze representive.
